Amy approaches coaching with a good balance of compassion and action. From the first moment, I felt completely safe as Amy shared fun stories from her own experiences to show me that I wasn’t completely alone. Beyond feeling better, I also performed better. We started with small manageable tweaks, which crescendoed into challenging “assignments” just past my comfort zone. Even if I didn’t finish every assignment by the next session, I knew I had a roadmap and felt more confident with new tools in my back pocket. With Amy’s coaching, I feel more calm and self-assured. More importantly, others see it too.

Enrolling in Amy’s Women and Leadership courses through UC Berkeley Extension was one of the smartest and most deeply transformative steps I have ever taken for my career. Week after week, Amy introduced us to outstanding women presenters who were experts in their professions and taught us about networking, the use of power, organizational politics, negotiation, coaching skills and more.
As a result of completing these highly interactive and practical classes (and doing all of the homework assignments!), I greatly enhanced the breadth and power of my network, asked for and received a job reclassification and raise, increased my professional visibility, and developed my leadership skills. Amy’s coaching and mentorship style is supportive and life-changing – thank you Amy, for helping me face my fears, build confidence, and take risks!
—Susan Janan Hagstrom, UC Berkeley
Amy is an exceptional coach! Her style is intuitive, flexible, honest, passionate, professional, insightful, and above all action oriented. When I started coaching with Amy, I had an abundance of change occurring in my professional life and felt scattered and unproductive most of the time. While I knew intellectually what I needed to do to change my situation, it was not translating into action. Amy offered me unfettered space to explore, clarify, and articulate my own goals. Through Amy’s coaching, I have perspective on how to realize my goals, life balance to keep me moving forward, and a continued realization that “anything is possible!”

Amy Levine was a great help to me getting my job search kick-started and looking at the issues that all this brings up. She is kind, funny, smart, resourceful and intuitive and we have been having a great time working together. In challenging times like these, Amy is my advocate, my teacher and someone keeping me on track to move forward while maintaining a balanced life perspective. I highly recommend Amy as a Life Coach and feel blessed to be able to work with her!

Thank you for facilitating a series of informative and meaningful sessions as a part of the University of California Office of the President’s “Take Charge – Developing A Career Strategy” Sessions. Through this series I discovered quite a lot about myself and how to better evaluate, promote and value my contribution to UCOP. You are an amazing personality and enjoyable instructor.
—Arthur Barker, UC Office of the President
Amy’s class and the entire Women and Leadership series has been an amazing experience. Not only has she and the guest instructors presented relevant topics, they provided us with tools and life skills that are useful and applicable to every aspect of life from work to personal interactions. Never again will I forget how empowered I am which is a priceless gift. It is clear that this is Amy’s passion and mission in life, to empower and develop people. This class was an exceptional value for the cost.

Having spent most of my career developing technical skills, I realized that, as part of middle management in an international non-profit organization, I also needed to develop my soft skills to help me to better navigate through organizational politics, to further my career and to effectively advocate for others. I heard from another attorney that Amy’s course would be professionally life-changing so I signed up. Her class was effective. Amy’s Making Power Moves curriculum is practical, wholly applicable and immediately adoptable. Her teaching style is approachable, respectful and authentic. Amy holds her students accountable for getting to the next level, whatever that next level may mean for that particular individual. Amy helped me to develop the skills and confidence to take advantage of the opportunities that I encounter on a daily level (and previously missed or blew) so that I am equipped to lead my career rather than just letting it take its own course.
—Emily Fan, legal counsel for international non-profit organization
Amy is a strong centered woman who will take you places mentally and physically that you never thought you could reach. Amy and her coaching style have allowed me to have a clearer mindset and the drive to keep pushing towards my goals in my personal life as well as my professional practice. Amy is on top of her game and knows how to help others reach this same happiness, success, and comfort.

I fell absolutely in love with your workshop and negotiation techniques. I just wanted to thank you for sharing all these great tips with me! During the conference I accidentally dropped my iPhone and it fell face first onto the concrete. The glass screen was completely shattered and ruined my morning. I headed out to the Apple store after the conference with a positive attitude and your tips fresh on my mind! I talked to the sales associate and scored a complimentary replacement iPhone that would not have normally been covered due to the personal accidental damage. Thank you so much! Your workshop has proved to be extremely beneficial and it has only been two days!

I attended Amy’s course: ‘Making Power Moves: Women and Leadership’ at UC Berkeley Extension in September 2013. Her course certainly brought phenomenal, positive change in my life. She inspired confidence, style, and a positive attitude in me. After the course, I started to feel more proud of myself. Amy delivered her magical, coaching style with a powerful, transformational touch. I am one of many lucky people to witness her kindness. Whenever I had problems, she helped me embrace them, guided me to evaluate possible solutions, and equipped me with the ability to respond maturely and effectively. That’s her leadership style. She added many facets to the course by bringing in guests speakers and conducting public speaking sessions. After-effects of her course will be tremendously beneficial and it is impossible to remain idle after her course. It would be more appropriate to say I am indebted to this Transformative Angel; thanks Amy.

I have taken two of Amy’s Women and Leadership courses at UC Berkeley Extension, both of which changed my work life enormously for the better. Amy sets an excellent example of powerful and positive leadership, built on a foundation of good communication and compassion. She helps her students understand and develop the critical skills required for great leadership, working in a community of highly supportive peers. She helped me to find and use my voice as a leader, and helped me discover how to step up to the next level in my career. All the skills I learned and practiced in Amy’s classes were essential for making the huge strides I have made in my career since I began taking her classes. I couldn’t have done it without you, Amy!

Amy led her fantastic “Promoting Yourself with Grace and Poise” workshop at our annual fall conference. She did an amazing job engaging a diverse group of university staff, sharing her knowledge and professional experiences and really connecting with the participants. Amy created a supportive and fun atmosphere where we could share, explore and learn how to promote ourselves and talk about our accomplishments. She used examples from her own career experiences to show how important self-promotion is to our professional growth and to the units and staff we support. The tips and advice she conveyed were tangible and easy to put into practice. The feedback we received from conference attendees about Amy and this workshop was overwhelmingly positive. Our group went away motivated to look for opportunities to tell others about the positive results of our accomplishments with grace and poise.
